For terrain I had to start looking at creating something for desert fighting. I tried making a modular board that would be a bit more versatile. The two pieces you see here, besides the flat desert boards, is a hill with very difficult going sides and a ramp on either side for tank tms and an oasis. I used some premade palms and orange trees to decorate it and around it (they provide concealment but do not block line of sight). These, coupled with the desert buildings I had from Battlefront made for enough terrain. I could have waited to have all the boards sand colored but we really wanted to get in a game and battle report so forgive the white boards.

What did we learn from this fight? Quality forces can beat Quanity forces. To look at what I had to start with was impressive, and honestly looking at his starting force I was convinced I was going to mow him down. What a wake up call. No wonder you don't see lots of Soviet players, and frankly after this i wouldn't be surprised if more people played Jordan over Egypt when taking on Isreal.
