I drive through and place my order, a double croisantwich meal with orange juice and an order of biscuits and gravy (and no, there isn't anyone that can make it like Mom). I pull forward and am met by a yawning woman who takes my money and then closes the window, so far pretty normal for most people. After several minutes, I was starting to wonder why they call it fast food at all. she came back, still yawning, and proceeded to tell me that it would be as much as 15 minutes before the biscuits would be ready. Really? Now I definately wanted to bark at her about what her definition of fast food was, but I held my tongue. She did offer, in a bored manner, "is there anything else you'd like in it's place?" Now the reason i had gone through the drive through or even came to this establishment was that didn't have the time to sit down to a meal. So I told her, sure how about a second sandwich. Now this seems like a justified moment, she did offer to exchange what she was unable to provide, right? Well, after a few more minutes she brought a second sandwich, that for anyone keeping score was not as much as what I had ordered, that they didn;t have. She then closes the window, expecting me to drive off. I have to admit that I did as I was shocked that she made no effoert to make up the change that I was due or offer an appology or the customary coupon for the next visit.... nothing.
